Skip Barber Racing taking three entries to Sebring

This weekend, Skip Barber Racing will visit Sebring International Raceway for the first triple-header of the newly reformatted TC America powered by the Skip Barber Racing School. Alongside a pair of entries in TC America, Skip Barber Racing will field an entry in GT4 America for brothers Michael and Alex Garcia.

Headlining the weekend will be James Klimas’ No. 61 Middletown Toyota GR Corolla TC alongside Skip Barber Race Series Director Mike Ogren, who will be making his Skip Barber Racing debut with the No. 07 Sebring International Golf Resort Acura Integra Type S.

After spending the week at VIRginia International Raceway overseeing the Skip Barber Race Series, Ogren will trade his spot in the race control tower for the driver’s seat of the Acura Integra Type S. For Klimas, his season has seen him match his best finish on three occasions. With a robust testing program running parallel to the season, the No. 61 Toyota GR Corolla TC is on the verge of a summer breakthrough.

Ogren, meanwhile, is no stranger to Skip Barber Racing, having served as an instructor for its drivers in the past. This weekend at Sebring will also serve as Ogren’s home race.

On other side of the Skip Barber Racing stable is the No. 07 PolePace Aston Martin Vantage GT4 of Alex and Michael Garcia.

“Sebring feels like home to me — it’s a place I know well and I’m confident we can bounce back strong,” Michael Garcia said. “COTA was a tough weekend, but we’ve put in the work and have had some valuable testing ahead of this round. I’m focused on getting up to pace quickly and making the most of every session. The goal is clear: reset, refocus, and execute.”

With a win at Sonoma Raceway in the opening round and a three-hour endurance race from Circuit of the Americas under their belt, the duo will be keen to generate some mid-season momentum.

Additionally, karters from the Orlando Kart Center will be in attendance as guests of the Skip Barber Racing School. The nine competitors won VIP passes and a meet-and-greet opportunity with Skip Barber Racing through their success at the Orlando Kart Center.
